The 2nd day of class we do fondant techniques but each person is encouraged to be creative once a technique is demonstrated. Lots of sugar toys are pulled out for students to choose from.

The students learn from one another because on this day no two cakes are the same.

Lunch

Lunch is provided daily here at the house. We really want good weather so we can use the pergola in the back yard. It is so nice to get out of the classroom and into a casual atmosphere where everyone can get acquainted.

Dannie (in the overalls) and D'lene cook lunches daily.

Pond - another place for relaxation at lunch

Even though class days are long shopping is still a must for some students

One of the local favorite places for economical good steaks and salad bar.
That is a lot of Texas Bull.

Day 3 - Making the Gumpaste flowers and bow loops

Making Ivy and Rose leaves

Finger flowers
Stephanotis, Daisies, Carnations

Roses in several stages

On Day 3 all flowers, bow loops and etc must be finished before students leave for the day. Just a few are shown here.

Day 4 is all finish work on the flowers and bow loops and putting the arrangement together.

Dusting, airbrush, wrapping stems in florist tape

Day 4
Making the flower arrangement

Day four finishes the class and those living in the area put their flower arrangement on the top of their fondant cake. Those flying home put their arrangements on 8" covered cardboard's to be boxed so they can get them home.

Diplomas are given at the end of class on day four
